The Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Area is proud to announce that we are open again! After such a difficult time, we were thrilled to re-open our doors June 8th. We have been taking extreme cautionary measures to make sure we are as safe as we possibly can be.

Our Respite Day Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Thank you again for all of the love and support you have given us. We are eager to open our doors each morning and help each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Everyone at Alzheimer’s Alliance and Our Place Day Respite Center

Forget-Me-Not Support Group 3-10-2020 - 2PM

This support group is open to all those who have cared for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. This group is facilitated by a volunteer who cared for a loved one with dementia for years. Her insight, along with those who attend the group, are an incredible asset for anyone looking for guidance or closer in their journey as a caregiver. This group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2 PM at the Alzheimer's Alliance.

Memory Screening 3-12- 2020

The Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Area is offering FREE MONTHLY MEMORY SCREENINGS

9:00 am-11:00 pm

Memory screenings are like other routine health check-ups.

*Each memory screening takes approximately 10 minutes and while the result is not a diagnosis, it can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.

Please Call the Alzheimer's Alliance to schedule your appointment.

Support Group 3-20-2020 - 2PM

This support group is open to all those who have cared for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. This group meets at the Alzheimer's Alliance at 2 PM on the 3rd Friday of every month. Caregivers will have the opportunity to share their experience with other caregivers who understand the hardships of caregiving. Caregivers will have access to our resource library and education materials as well.

Memory Cafe 3-28-2020

Our Memory Café is targeted for caregivers and those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The purpose is to provide an environment where caregivers and loved ones can enjoy socializing with others that relate to their struggles. This program exists to support, encourage and provide friendships and resources to caregivers. Our Goal is to reduce the isolation that accompanies being a caregiver.

The Memory Café will be a one-of-a-kind experience, giving caregivers the opportunity to socialize and learn in the same setting. It is our hope that as each month passes, our caregivers become more comfortable in our café setting, where they can relax with their loved one, in addition to coming together with other caregivers to learn from each other. The Memory Café takes place every 4th Saturday of the month from 10:30am-noon. Please contact the Alzheimer's Alliance to reserve your spot.
